This is a legitimate legal and ethical discussion. But the technology itself is neutral. Use it responsibly, understand the licensing implications, and make informed choices.

For what it’s worth, here’s what I’m using:
- Claude for complex reasoning and longer context
- GitHub Copilot for in-editor completions
- GPT-4 for quick questions and explanations
Each has strengths. The key is knowing when to reach for which tool.
The Bottom Line
AI coding assistants aren’t replacing developers. They’re replacing the tedious parts of development — the parts that were never the interesting work anyway.
The developers who thrive will be the ones who learn to collaborate with these tools effectively. The ones who resist will find themselves spending hours on tasks their peers complete in minutes.
